Field Trips

All of our trips range from 2 - 4 hours. We can adjust times as needed. We can also provide onsite lunches, extra equipment, & accommodations. If your group is interested in any additions be sure to let us know.

Prices are figured per person, but must be paid as a whole. In order to get things scheduled we do require a 50% deposit and the remaining total to be paid no later than 7 days prior to the event.  

 

Kayak Santa Fe 

1. Canoe Outpost to Poe Springs: This is a 5 mile (3 hour) kayak trip. Trip goers will have a 30 minute allocution, on the spring they will visit, the animals they may see along the way, and proper kayak safety and usage. followed by a 15 minute Q&A before launching on their down river trip. Trip goers will then have a lazy paddle down river ending at the quiet Poe Spring. Following this, trip goers will take a 1/2 mile walk on the boardwalk through the woods to the bus. 

2. Poe to Blue: This is a 2 mile (1.5 hour) kayak trip. Trip goers will have a 30 minute allocution, on the springs that they will visit along the way, the animals that they may see as well, and proper kayak safety and usage. followed by a 15 minute Q&A before launching on their down river trip. Trip goers will then have a lazy paddle down river ending at the beautiful Gilchrist Blue Spring. Following this, trip goers will take a 1/4 mile walk on the wooded trail finding at least 2 hidden springs (Guided). Finally, trip goers will board our shuttles to be shuttled back to their buses. 

3. Rum Island to Santa Fe River Park: This is a 7 mile (3.5 hour) kayak trip. Trip goers will have a 30 minute allocution, on the springs they will visit, the animals they may see along the way, and proper kayak safety and usage. followed by a 15 minute Q&A before launching on their down river trip. Trip goers will then have a long lazy paddle down river ending at the newly renovated Santa Fe River Park. Buses will be waiting at this location for your return trip. 

 

Kayak Suwannee 

1. Wanee Landing to Hart Springs: This is a 6 mile (2.5 hour) kayak trip. Trip goers will have a 30 minute allocution, on the spring they will visit, the animals they may see along the way, and proper kayak safety and usage. followed by a 15 minute Q&A before launching on their down river trip. Trip goers will then have a lazy paddle down river ending at the amazing Hart Spring. Following this, trip goers will spend time in the unforgettable Hart Springs Park. Where the busses would be waiting.

Spring Hopper

1. Visit Several Springs in one day: Hop aboard our shuttle and be driven to several springs. At each spring there will be time to stop, learn and enjoy. Your guide for the day, will impart knowledge of each spring as you visit. Some may wish to swim, or take a short walk through the park. That part is left up to you. Then board the shuttle again and travel to the next stop eventually ending at the final stop, where your busses are waiting.

 

Day at the Park

1. Choose any of our parks: We will include kayaks for upstream paddling, lunch, and snorkles. Pick your park... Gilchrist Blue Springs, Poe Springs, or Hart Springs and we will make sure that you have a wonderful time. 

 
 

Manatee Spotting

1. Kayak from Poe Springs to Gilchrist Blue Springs: This is a 2 mile (1.5 hour) kayak trip. Trip goers will have a 30 minute allocution, on the springs that they will visit along the way, the protection and facts about the manatee that they may encounter, and proper kayak safety and usage. Followed by a 15 minute Q&A before launching on their down river trip. Kayak down river while looking for some of the cutest and friendliest animals to grace the Santa Fe River. Every January and February Manatee head upriver. They can be spotted easy in the Santa Fe due to its clear tea colored water and multiple crystal clear springs. They are a delight and are sure to awe the crowd. 

 

Hiking Trip

1. A Guided Hike at Poe Springs: Arrive at Poe Springs Park and enjoy a wonderfully wild hike through the woods. This hike will pause at the spring head for a while, then continue up the boardwalk and back to the parking area. Here volleyball, corn hole, frisbee, and any sort of activity can be enjoyed for a bit. This Trip is also great for a ready lunch.

 

Scavenger Hunt

1. It is not (exactly) a race: Taking place at Poe Springs Park, all teams will be given a checklist of items that they need to locate and snap a picture of (at least 1 cell phone per team is required). All items in this hunt can be found inside the park. Yes, some items may be in the water but the picture can be taken from dry land. Every item has next to it a question that the team must answer before moving on. The questions are designed to help students learn or use critical thinking. The first team to complete their checklist with all of the pictures and questions answered will win the Scavenger Trophy.  

 

Treasure Hunt

1. Treasure is everywhere: On this hunt, participants are required to work on land and in a kayak. Riddles are given at specific locations to each team for them to solve. Some of the riddles will have them take to their kayak and paddle down river to a new location. Other riddles may have them hike down a path in the woods. At the end their is an actual treasure trove for the first ones to finish and some small tokens will remain behind for the laggers.
